Why I Am Writing After the Ashes

There was a season in my life when I woke up and realized I was living inside a stranger’s life. The accounts I trusted were not mine. The future I planned was not coming. The man I built with did not stay. And underneath all of it was a woman the Lord had been calling by name long before any of it happened, a woman who had quietly forgotten who she was.

This book is for her.
It is for me.
It is for you.

After the Ashes is the book I wish someone had placed in my hands when everything changed.

Not a Christian book that ignored money.
Not a money book that ignored Jesus.
Not a memoir that left me sitting in the ashes without a road forward.

I needed something faith filled, practical, and honest. Something written by a woman who had walked through it and was now two steps ahead with her hand reaching back.

That is the book I am writing.

Why I am writing it now

Because too many women are sitting alone with bills they never saw coming, credit they do not understand, and a story they do not feel safe telling out loud. Too many women have been told to forgive without anyone explaining that forgiveness is not approval of what happened. It is freedom. Too many women have walked through divorce, loss, betrayal, or upheaval and felt like they were the only one in the room.

You are not the only one.

Who this book is for

It is for the woman rebuilding after divorce. After economic abuse. After the death of the life she thought she would have. After a season she never expected.

It is for the woman tired of financial advice that ignores faith, and tired of faith conversations that ignore money.

It is for the woman who is ready to begin again, but is not sure where to start.

What is inside

Twelve chapters. Four parts.

The Foundation
Rebuilding your identity in Christ.

The Breakthrough
Untangling fear, money, and credit one step at a time.

The Engine
Learning how to create income and steward what God places in your hands.

The Summit
Seeing the life waiting on the other side of survival.

There will be practical tools. Honest conversations. Real rebuilding. And the Promise List habit that helped rebuild my own life one morning at a time.

What I want for you

I want you to know your story is not over.

I want you to know the chain is not meant to stay on your ankle forever.

I want you to know the Lord meets women who simply begin.

And I want you to know that being two steps ahead is enough to reach back and help another woman forward.

That is why I am writing this book.

And that is what I will be sharing here week by week until this book is finally in your hands.

If something here meets you where you are, I would love to walk with you. Join the email list on the Resources page. Tell another woman. Begin where you are.

The Lord meets women who simply begin.

Walking with you,
Kimberly
